For over 50 years, the Reeves family has built something rare in the commercial linen industry — a company where personal integrity, quality, and deep customer relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
What started as a single ironer and a leap of faith has become one of the most trusted commercial linen operations in coastal South Carolina and Georgia.
RSI was established with one ironer, three industrial washing machines, and a single client. The Reeves family's commitment to quality was the foundation from day one.
Expanded routes throughout the coastal SC and GA corridor. Reputation for reliability and consistency drove organic growth through word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied hospitality and medical customers.
Invested in five Lavatec tunnel washers, industrial dryers, and automated folding systems — enabling 24-hour turnaround and eco-efficient water recycling before sustainability was industry standard.
Now in its third generation of Reeves family leadership, RSI serves 480+ customers, employs 200+ team members, and processes over 80,000 pounds of linen daily — seven days a week.
From a Bluffton laundry room in 1972 to a regional institution serving 480+ customers — the Reeves family has built something rare: a business where character, consistency, and genuine care run in the family.
Jerry Healand Reeves III built Resort Services, Inc. from nothing but conviction and hard work. Born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Jerry graduated from Greenville High School before earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University. After more than twenty years with Union Camp, he and his wife Mary made Bluffton their home and saw an opportunity no one else had acted on.
In 1972, with twelve employees and two customers, Jerry and Mary founded RSI. What began as a modest Lowcountry operation grew — through decades of personal commitment and uncompromising standards — into a 200-employee, seven-days-a-week regional institution serving hotels, hospitals, and restaurants from Charleston to Brunswick. His five sons grew up working alongside him, and upon Jerry's passing on October 20, 2013, assumed full owner-operator responsibility.
Jerry's legacy lives in the 30+ year customer relationships RSI maintains, the employees whose families have worked here for generations, and the guiding principle the company still carries today: "The Reeves family's commitment to excellence in quality, service, and customer satisfaction will always be the primary objective of our company."
Following their father's passing in 2013, Jerry H. Reeves III's five sons assumed full ownership and day-to-day operation of RSI — each bringing their own expertise while carrying forward every standard their father established over forty-one years.
Jerry H. Reeves brings the third generation of Reeves family leadership into a new era for Resort Services. A Georgia Tech graduate with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and an MBA in Management of Technology, he carries forward the engineering profession his grandfather built this company on — and adds to it twenty years of experience managing complex operations, technical teams, and customer relationships across energy, manufacturing, and technology industries.
That background shapes how Jerry approaches the business today: with an engineer's eye for process, a manager's instinct for people, and a developer's enthusiasm for growth. He joined RSI to apply those capabilities where they matter most — modernizing operations, expanding the customer base, and positioning a family institution for the decades ahead.
Outside the business, Jerry is active in the communities RSI serves — serving on nonprofit boards, mentoring entrepreneurs, and coaching youth sports in the Lowcountry. The same commitment that has defined the Reeves family in business shows up in how they live.

Fifty years in business isn't luck — it's a direct result of the principles that guide every decision we make, every delivery we run, and every customer relationship we build.
We operate seven days a week because our customers do. When you need clean linens by morning, we deliver — no exceptions, no excuses.
From tunnel washer to delivery truck, every step of our process is designed to return linens that meet the exacting standards of fine hotels, restaurants, and medical facilities.
Three generations of the Reeves family are actively involved in RSI. That personal ownership means every customer gets leadership-level attention — not a call center.
We were green before it was fashionable. Natural gas steam, 1.4 gallons per pound water usage, and 100% wastewater recycling through our heat reclamation system.
Based in Bluffton, SC, we're invested in the economic health of our region. Our 200 employees and 480+ customers are our neighbors — and we treat them that way.
30-year customer relationships like Elizabeth on 37th in Savannah aren't built on price alone. They're built on showing up the same way, every single time.
RSI has been environmentally conscious long before sustainability became an industry trend. Our Bluffton facility was designed from the ground up to minimize environmental impact without sacrificing quality or turnaround speed.
We burn natural gas to heat water and produce steam — a significantly cleaner process than oil or electric alternatives. Every gallon of wastewater is recycled through our heat reclamation system, and our five tunnel washers use less energy than conventional commercial laundry equipment.
WTOC featured the Reeves family as a Hometown Hero in recognition of their five decades of service to the Lowcountry community, their commitment to local employment, and their role as a model family-owned small business in South Carolina.
